Aberdeen Family Swim Center

Rules and Regulations

      1.                  Always obey the rules and the lifeguards.

2.                  Always check in before entering the pool area.

3.                  Food/Drinks must be in plastic containers or in tin cans. No glass at any time!

4.                  Food must be eaten in designated areas only-not near or in the pool.

5.                  Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

a.       Non-toilet trained children:

i.              Must be supervised by their parent or guardian.

ii.                  May use the wading pool only.

iii.                Must war an approved swim diaper whenever in the pool.

b.      Non-swimming children must:

i.              Be strictly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

ii.                  Wear a Coast Guard approved PFD (Personal Flotation Device).

iii.                May only use family pool when in the arms of a parent or guardian.

c.       Children wishing to use the deep end or diving boards must:

i.              Take and pass the approved swim test.

ii.                  Follow all safety rules.

iii.                Divers are limited to one bounce on the diving board, and must swim directly out of the dive area. Divers must wait for a swimmer to reach the ladder before beginning a dive.

 

6.               Walking is required around the pool and on the cement. Running and play is limited to the grass areas and at the discretion of the facility staff.

7.              Unsafe play, disruptive behavior, or behavior that endangers the safety of others is not permitted, and will result in removal from the pool area.

8.              Smoking for adults over 18 years of age is only permitted in the designated smoking area.

9.              Profane language is not permitted and will result in the patrons’ removal from the pool.

10.           Proper bathing attire is required.

11.           Pools may close due to inclement weather, vandalism or for sanitary reasons. All reasonable measures will be taken to reopen the pools as quickly as possible.

 Failure to comply with Pool Rules and or lifeguard instruction may result in removal from the pool, suspension, or loss of pool privileges.
